Genoans celebrated the season on Friday night by caroling, enjoying hot cocoa and lighting the town Christmas tree.
The tree dedicated to Hope Falcke and decorated with white and blue lights was turned on at 6:10 p.m. Friday.
Falcke's son Roger told the crowd that gathered around the tree that Hope always enjoyed the holidays.
The tree and another, dedicated to Robert Giovacchini, stand at the corner of Nixon and Main streets.
After the tree lighting, Santa arrived by Genoa Volunteer Fire Department engine.
