Christmas festivities, including illuminating of trees, in Minden and Genoa are tonight.
The Town of Genoa hosts caroling and a Christmas tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments available.
In Minden, the Douglas High School jazz band and the Girl Scouts will perform beginning 5:15 p.m.
The lighting of the Christmas tree and the gazebo in Minden is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Minden's Weihnachts Fest German Christmas marketplace is 2-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the COD Garage on Esmeralda Ave.
Crafts, gifts, decorations, German food, and hot mulled wine. Free photos with Santa today.
The Tahoe-Douglas Elks annual spaghetti feed and Christmas tree bingo is 5 p.m. at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Dinner is $6 for adults, $4 for children 10 and younger.
The Four Preps perform at 5 p.m. The group sings Christmas songs, and their hits including "26 Miles Across the Sea" from 1958.
Bingo is played after the Minden gazebo lighting at 6 p.m. Prizes for children's games.
Proceed from the event go toward Christmas gift baskets for county seniors.
The Carson Valley Middle School choir performs in the CVIC Hall after the Parade of Lights on Saturday. Old-time country music and Christmas carols by All Hat No Cattle begins 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
