Douglas County deputies - with the assistance of two drug-detecting canine officers - seized 50 pounds of marijuana and two ounces of cocaine Friday at Kingsbury Self Storage in Stateline.
The estimated street value of the marijuana is $150,000 and the cocaine is $5,000. Officers also seized a loaded semi-automatic pistol.
Sgt. Mark Munoz said members of the patrol division and Street Enforcement Team served a search warrant at 11:40 a.m. at the storage unit after employees noticed a strong odor of marijuana from one of the units.
Deputy Ryan Grant and K9 Chief with the assistance of Investigator Brian Johnson and K9 Mack were able to conduct a sniff of the area and located a suspect storage unit.
Munoz said investigators are looking into who rented the storage unit and possible criminal charges.
