Tribal dental clinic opening in Coleville

The Toiyabe Indian Health Project, Inc., has announced the re-opening of the dental office at the Camp Antelope Clinic in Coleville, Calif., on Dec. 20.

The clinic will be accepting new and returning patients to the dental practice at the Camp Antelope site. A meet and greet session with the new dental staff has been tentatively scheduled for Dec. 17 at 1 p.m., 73 Camp Antelope Road, Coleville.

Toiyabe Indian Health Project is a chartered nonprofit corporation jointly controlled by seven federally recognized Indian tribes to provide health care services. TIHP currently operates two clinics located in Bishop and Lone Pine, with the Camp Antelope Clinic in Coleville to open shortly. Their geographical service area covers nearly 300 highway miles in eastern central California from Coleville in northern Mono County to Death Valley National Park in southeastern Inyo County. Those tribes which jointly control TIHP include the following: Big Pine Paiute Tribe of the Owens Valley, Bishop Paiute Tribe, Bridgeport Indian Colony, Fort Independence Indian Reservation, Lone Pine Paiute-Shoshone Reservation, Timbisha Shoshone Tribe, and Utu Utu Gwaitu Paiute Tribe of Benton.
