A Reno woman, who was injured on Sunday when she lost control of her blue 1991 Mazda on Highway 395 in Indian Hills, had been drinking, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Cecelia Montegue Esler, 57, was southbound near Mica Drive at about 12:09 p.m. when she drifted out of the fast lane and across the slow lane before leaving the road and rolling down the embankment.
Esler was the only occupant of the vehicle, and was transported by East Fork medics to Carson Valley Medical Center.
A preliminary breath test revealed Esler had a .25 blood alcohol content.
She was cited for driving under the influence and failure to drive within her lane.
Esler's was the weekend's second accident.
A 65-year-old Topaz Ranch Estates resident was injured after a vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
Donald McNeill lost control of his 1996 Chevrolet pickup and it rolled over in the 1200 block of Topaz Ranch Road.
The accident was reported at 1:47 a.m.
McNeill had to be cut from the vehicle and was helicoptered to Renown Medical Center in Reno by Care Flight.
Deputies investigating the accident asked the Nevada Highway Patrol to take a sample of McNeill's blood.
