Three emotional moments captured forever by the cameras of Carson Valley Photo Club members won honors at the club's monthly contest. "Emotion" was the theme.

Pat Colon won first place with a shot of a cat glimpsing from between a window and the window shade her home. She titled her winning entry "Cat Attitude."

Second place went to Kathy Port for "What About Me," a picture of a dog looking for affection from her grandson.

Shelley Pope's "No Mama No" was of an infant in tears and took third-place honors.

This month's meeting was a pot luck dinner during which the organization's founding president, Dave Colon, was brought back for another year at the helm.

Pat Stanley was elected vice president, Merry Muller as secretary and Bill Souligny as treasurer.

The club welcomes new members - amateurs to professionals. Meetings are the second Tuesday each month at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Information, club president Dave Colon, 783-8600.
