It's the time of year that we want to spend with friends and family. If they aren't near where you live, please be careful if you are on the road. With the weather we have had, it is so important to take our time and watch out for ice, snow, and traffic.
Giving Tree a success again
Even in this lower economy, the Giving Tree at the Walker General Store and the members of our community have helped give children the gifts they wished for. Many thanks go to our residents and local groups like the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. They have all been wonderful and should feel good about what they have offered to our residents.
Coleville sports
The Coleville High School basketball teams have started off well this year, which will give us something to root for this winter.
Football players from Coleville received much recognition at the close of the season. Emmi Sandoval was recognized as the North 1A Player of the Year, which is a great honor. Buh Hamilton, David Sandoval, and Mat Randall also made the all-star team. It is really nice to see them recognized.
Volleyball player Lela Gnuse-Stokes was hailed as the North 1A Player of the Year. Also recognized on the all-stars was Linzy Garcia. Good for both of you.
Flu shots
This year is predicted to be a bad year for influenza, so please get your vaccination, if you haven't already.
Happy holidays to all. Try to stay in, stay dry and warm.
