Lyon 911 restored

Lyon County 911 was back up and running at about 3:30 p.m. after losing the ability to make or receive telephone calls about 2 p.m.

Calls were rerouted to Carson City 911 for about an hour.

During the outage, Lyon County 911 Center lost the ability to receive or make telephone calls.

Douglas County 911 operated normally through the outage. East Fork Deputy Chief Dave Fogerson asked that residents not test the system by dialing 911. The number is for emergencies only.
