A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Mono County starting 10 p.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. Wednesday. Up to 6 inches of snow is expected near and west of Highway 395, which could turn slick late tonight especially between Conway Summit and Crowley Lake.

The former manager of the Dairy Queen is scheduled to be arraigned this morning on embezzlement charges. Carl Franklin Wilson Jr., 42, of Gardnerville, waived his preliminary hearing on Dec. 1 and is expected to plead guilty this morning. As part of a plea negotiation, he has agreed to pay back the money he took from the Dairy Queen.

It's a small chance we'll get a light dusting of snow today and tonight. Today will be cloudy with a high approaching 39 degrees. Tonight will be cloudy with a low of 32 degrees. At 6:18 a.m. it's 21 degrees in Minden and Genoa, and 24 degrees at Meneley Elementary School in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
