A two-vehicle accident just east of the summit closed Kingsbury Grade while rescuers fought snowy weather and slick roads to get the victims to safety.

A woman and two children were reported injured in the head-on accident that was first reported at 5:37 p.m.

East Fork rescuers traveled up the mountain to reach the accident, while Tahoe Douglas was busy fighting a fire at 256 Tramway.

Residents traveling the grade said there was about an inch of snow on the road, snarling traffic.

The westbound lanes of Kingsbury were reopened at 6:30 p.m. with traffic taking turns to pass the accident.

Firefighters closed Tramway near Quaking Aspen to fight the condo fire.

Reports were that flames were coming out of the second and third floors.
