Widespread property damage, amounting to many thousands of dollars, was still being totaled up in the wake of the second heavy windstorm in a week. The greatest damage occurred Monday when gusts hit peaks estimated at 75 miles per hour. One of the largest buildings destroyed by the wind was a metal barn on the Graham Hollister ranch just north of Genoa. The structure, used to store hay, literally exploded when it was hit by a strong gust of wind. Pieces of the barn flew into the air and one piece struck and broke a telephone pole.
