Staff Reports

The Copeland Cultural Arts Center and the Carson Valley Arts Council host an open call for cowboy, western, and ranch-themed art and photography to display in the arts center in conjunction with the Genoa Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival, running April 29-May 2.

Artists may submit one piece of work to be displayed March 20-April 30 at the Copeland Center.

Pieces should be framed and wired, but matted pieces are acceptable and will be placed in a folding rack. There is no formal size restriction, but space is limited to 40-50 pieces. In the case of too many entries, pieces will be juried. For any sales, there is a 25 percent donation to the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Work should be delivered to the Copeland Center between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15 or 16. It will be available for pickup 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3.

An artists' reception will be scheduled during the show run with ribbons awarded for people's favorites. Beverages will be provided by the center, but we suggest that participants bring some food item to share for the reception.

There is no cost to participate, although any donations in support of the Copeland Center is appreciated.
