A viewing is 10 a.m. Friday for Genoa resident Joseph John Radzvilowicz, 50, who died Feb. 5, 2010. The viewing will be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.

Born April 4, 1959, to Irene and Joseph S. Radzvilowicz, he grew up in Uncasville and Windham, Conn., where he graduated from Windham Technical School and attended the University of Rhode Island.

Mr. Radzvilowicz married Cecilia Adams Sept. 15, 1990, in West Hartford, Conn.

The Radzvilowiczes moved to Genoa in 2005 where they founded Nouveau Vie, a treatment facility dedicated to healing children and young adults with anorexia and bulimia. Since opening in 2009, the facility aided in the recovery of four patients, and Mr. Radzvilowicz found the work extraordinarily fulfilling. He loved sharing good wine, golfing, and the music of Rockapella.

He is preceded in death by his father Joseph S. Radzvilowicz.

Mr. Radzvilowicz is survived by wife Cecilia; daughters Alexis Julia, 17, and Kayla Ann, 15; mother Irene of Norwich, Conn.; his siblings Laura (Flanagan) of Maryland, Pat (Little) of Connecticut, Mary (Conway) of Texas, Pam (Giannopoulous) of Connecticut, and Mike of Connecticut; his mother-in-law Julia Adams of Connecticut, and numerous nieces and nephews.
