Mardi Gras for Austin's House

The second annual Mardi Gras Magic dinner and dance to benefit Austin's House is 6 p.m. today in the Shannon Ballroom at the Carson Valley Inn. Raise funds and consciousness for Haiti

O2 Yoga & Wellness sponsors the Hatha Yoga for Haiti fundraising event, 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the O2 studio, 02 Yoga Studio, 1557 Zerolene Place, Minden. Sertoma crab feast

Carson Valley Sertoma hosts a crab and tri-tip feast, 5 p.m. Saturday, at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Event raises funds to put soup back on the menu at the Douglas County Senior Center. Looking for love Saturday

The Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club's second annual Looking for Love speed dating event is 7 p.m. Saturday at Doppelgangers Brewery, 302 N. Carson St., Carson City. Christ Presbyterian Church's Ash Wednesday service is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the church, 1436 S. Industrial Way in Gardnerville. Ash Wednesday is first day of Lent, a season of repentance and reflection, culminating with Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 4.
