Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City for Carson Valley native Jimmie 'Big Boy' Fillmore Jr., 65, who died at home on Feb. 15, 2010. A funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Born Aug. 20, 1944, in Gardnerville, to Jimmie Fillmore Sr. and Catherine W. Fillmore, he served in the Nevada National Guard during the 1960s.

He had numerous hobbies, including working on small engines, fixing bikes for kids, and doing leather work until his hands would no longer cooperate.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Emeline and brother, Dean.

Mr. Fillmore is survived by brothers Warren and Byron Fillmore both of Carson City; sisters Francine Fillmore, Norrine Malone, Genevieve Morris, and Ellen Fillmore all of Carson City; and numerous nephews and nieces.
