Art association meets today

The Carson Valley Art Association meets, 1:30-3:30 p.m. today, at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Office, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. Parking is across the street at Lampe Park. Bring a painting you would like to have commented on or help with for the annual group critique. The free meeting is open to the public. Snacks and beverages served. Round dance this weekend

Savor the Flavor Saturday

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley hosts the Savor the Flavor wine tasting fundraiser, Saturday, at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort. Event features wines, microbrews, food from area restaurants, silent auction and Megabucks slot raffle. Buy crab feed tickets by today

The Tahoe/Douglas Elks No. 2670 crab feed is March 5 at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Social hour at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $40 for all you can eat fresh Dungeness crab, cole slaw, and garlic bread.
