After approving $197 million in cuts on Thursday, lawmakers still have plenty to do to help close the $888 million budget gap.
While the Senate and Assembly are expected to vote on a proposed four-day work week for most state agencies, revenue generating proposals for the mining and gaming industries are still being worked out.
The mining industry would shoulder $100 million in new revenue, although only $40 million of that figure would come from new claims fees and taxes.
Education is also likely to be a hot topic today as lawmakers try to trim the governor's proposed 10 percent cut down to 5 percent.
