Katie's in the Carson Valley Inn is continuing five of its popular dinner specials from February and bringing in two new mid-week specials in March.
Early-week dinner specials continue in March with Italian night on Monday - choose from chicken Parmesan or lasagna. The Tuesday-night special is two-for-one prime rib - buy one prime rib dinner and the second person's dinner of equal or lesser value is free.
Wednesday and Thursday nights bring new mid-week specials in Katie's: Wednesday is Mexican night with your choice of a Mexican-style beef platter with Spanish rice, salsa and flour tortillas or three crisp chicken tacos served with refried beans and tomatillo sauce. Every Thursday in March, Katie's is featuring a roast turkey breast dinner with sage stuffing, country mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce and choice of soup or salad.
Gary Oien, executive chef for the Carson Valley Inn, said, "Our weekend specials in Katie's have been very well received so they are continuing."
The Friday-night captain's platter includes fried catfish, clams and shrimp - served with hush puppies and cole slaw. Saturday is barbecue night in Katie's. Choose a large portion of ribs or two chicken breasts - or a combination of ribs and chicken.
Katie's Sunday special is the Chandler chicken dinner including southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Katie's dinner specials are served from 4 to 9 p.m. except for the Sunday special which starts at 2 p.m.
Katie's is also offering a ham steak and eggs special available 24 hours, every day. Enjoy a giant ham steak, two eggs any style, hash browns and toast.
