Rose Drenttel
1915-2009
A celebration of life is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church for Rose Drenttel who died Dec. 30, 2009, at her daughter's home in Gardnerville of complications from a stroke. She was 94.
Mrs. Drenttel was born June 24, 1915, in Mankato, Minn., where she resided for 90 years. She moved to Gardnerville 4-1⁄2 years ago after her husband died to live with her daughter Carrol Parkos.
She worked for many years for Pepsi Cola, Inc. She loved to fish, bowl, play cards and Yahtzee. Mrs. Drenttel had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to have visitors. She loved animals and her favorite television program was "Animal Planet."
She married Robert Drenttel on July 6, 1934. They were married 70 years and loved to go dancing.
Mrs. Drenttel was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law Gerald Parkos, four sisters and a brother. She is survived by her daughter Carrol, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
