The Douglas High ski team had a good showing at the second Tahoe Basin League race of the year at Alpine Meadows Wednesday.
Grant Denny and Wyatt Denny headed a strong effort from the boys' team, taking 11th and 18th respectively.
Tanner DeGiovanni took 23rd, Brock Crawford was 26th, Ryan Kochen was 27th, Robert Furin was 32nd and Gavin Fitzhugh was 37th.
In the girls' race, Crystal Rutledge was sixth after going into the second run in ninth place.
Kelsey Lalonde was 27th, Cara Dunkleman was 29th, Rachel Babbitt was 39th, Leah Walters was 40th and Maddy Emery was 43rd.
Hillary Sapp, normally a top placer for the Tigers, was eighth after the first run but did not finish the second.
The boys' junior varsity team had Jonny Lawrence finish 18th, Eric Kleiner take 23rd, Roy Regan take 25th and Pierce Dykes take 26th.
JP Garner was 32nd, Nick Morris was 34th and Sam Taylor was 35th.
Lauren Babbitt was seventh in the girls' JV race.
The Tigers compete Monday at Sierra-at--Tahoe at 10 a.m.
