Volunteers needed for cowboy poetry festival

Volunteers are needed for the Town of Genoa and the Carson Valley Arts Council's Genoa Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, April 29 through May 2.

The event features cowboy poets and musicians, workshops, western art, and chuck wagon dinners. Entertainers include Waddie Mitchell, Don Edwards, Paul Zarzyski, Lacy J. Dalton and the Dalton Gang, David John and the Comstock Cowboys, Dave Stamey, Larry Maurice, Richard Elloyan, Sourdough Slim, the Old West Trio, Cross Town Cowboys, Dennis Golden, Tom Weatherby, and Ron Scofield.

A mandatory meeting for volunteers is 6:30 p.m. April 8 at the Genoa Town Hall.
