RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nevada's Luke Babbitt has been named the Western Athletic Conference's basketball player of the week after notching his 10th and 11th double-doubles while leading the Wolf Pack to a pair of victories last week.

The sophomore forward from Reno had 26 points and 11 rebounds against New Mexico State then added 20 points and 10 rebounds against San Jose State. He made 10 of 14 shots from the field against the Aggies, including all three attempts from 3-point range and was a perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line against the Spartans.

For the week he averaged 23 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.5 steals. It's the third time in his career the WAC's preseason MVP selection has won the weekly honor.
