The R-C Morning Report

The wind is howling outside this morning as a front rolls into Western Nevada. We had a 44 mph wind gust in the Gardnerville Ranchos, according to the Meneley Elementary weather station. The winds there are currently blowing 28-36 mph. Wind speed isn't the only thing in the 40s. It's 48 degrees outside in Genoa. The Meneley station is showing 50 degrees as all the warm air gets pushed through here by the front.

It's going to be a blustery Tuesday with strong winds gusting up to 55 mph from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service won't expire until 6 p.m. Today would be a bad day to drive the RV through Washoe Valley.

Here's a big shock, there's a high wind advisory through Washoe Valley. So far that's the worst of the road controls, but if you've got business at the Lake I would suggest taking care of it today. There's supposed to be 3 inches of snow at Stateline on Wednesday morning. In the Valley, we're supposed to get a little bit of rain during the day today. There's a chance it will snow late Wednesday morning.
