Pro-Life Rally in Minden
The second annual Carson Douglas Interfaith Pro-Life Rally is 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at LifePoint Church, 1095 Stephanie Way, Minden. Rally features psychologist Jay Jeffers and Dr. Keith Shonnard of the Catholic Medical Association.
The rally features psychologist Jay Jeffers, who speaks about the impact of abortion. Catholic Medical Association's Dr. Keith Shonnard of Carson City gives a presentation of life in the womb and information about abortion. The rally includes personal stories, news of ministries of compassion helping women in crisis and a review of the progress of the pro-life movement. The youth will present a short skit.

Pageant preview
Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization hosts the Miss America wardrobe preview for 2009 Miss Nevada Christina Keegan, 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Keegan models her wardrobe and performs her talent that will be presented in the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas on Jan. 30.
Trails meeting Monday

Recycle greeting cards
New and used greeting cards for any occasion are collected at the Douglas County Senior Center to donate to St. Jude's Ranch for Children, where they are used to create post cards and other projects.
