A 25-year-old woman was ordered to prison Monday for up to three years after repeated probation violations.

District Judge Michael Gibbons encouraged Cara Sutton to take advantage of prison programs to help with her addiction.

She admitted being intoxicated and associating with felons as well as being terminated from Western Nevada Regional Drug Court.

"I'm disappointed to see Ms. Sutton here today. I really wanted her to complete this program," said prosecutor Laurie Trotter.

Gibbons gave her credit for 95 days in custody. Sutton must serve a minimum 12-month sentence before she is eligible for parole.

She pleaded guilty to burglary in 2008 after she and two accomplices entered the Gardnerville Meeks on July 15, and Sutton threw a roll of wire over the fence with the intention of selling it.
