Johnson next in line for county association presidency

Douglas County Commissioner Doug Johnson is next in line to be president of the Nevada Association of Counties

Carson City Supervisor Robin Williamson was sworn in as President of the organization by Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell. Also sworn in were Johnson as President Elect, and Mineral County Commissioner Jerrie Tipton as Vice-President. Washoe County Commissioner Bonnie Weber is Past President.

Williamson was elected to be a Carson City supervisor in November 1998, and serves as chairwoman of the Carson City Redevelopment Authority. She also represents the City on the Carson Water Subconservancy District and serves on the Western Nevada College Foundation.

Johnson is a Ruhenstroth resident in his second term as county commissioner.

NACO, formed in 1924, represents all 17 Nevada counties and is an affiliate of the National Association of Counties.
