Sustainable Energy Development Associates, a biomass system consulting firm, installed new officers for 2010.
Outgoing manager Gail Munk of Lovelock was presented an abacus (indicative of the lightning speed with which he completed assigned tasks during his tenure) by incoming manager Dean Borges along with other members Matt Frolich and James Brown of Gardnerville.
On the same day, Gardnerville resident Jo Etta Brown changed active membership to consultant.
Since 2004, SEDA has been providing consulting services involving systems that will convert biomass into electricity, heat, and value-added products from biomass sources in communities, on farms or ranches, and from business and industrial activities.
Members have experience in engineering, chemistry, environmental regulations, agricultural regulations and business management issues.
SEDA clients receive recommendations on the economic viability of biomass conversion technologies in the Western U.S. that can be used by the public, government, private developers and consumers.
