Volleyball: Tigers win two, lose one

The Carson Valley Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team beat South Tahoe and Pau-Wa-Lu last week while losing to Eagle Valley.

Against Tahoe, Corryne Millett had six service points, Kealy Moss and Mandy Weaver each had five, Tiffany Fielder had four, Holland Chambers and Gabby Vega each had three and Alexis VonSchottenstein, Ariah Barth and Shayla Gransbery each had one.

Against Pau-Wa-Lu, Emily Schmidt had 13 service points, VonSchottenstein had six, Kaitlin Godde had five, Weaver, Barth and Allie Galloway each had three and Gransbery had one.

In the Eagle Valley loss, Lane Waggoner had four service points, VonSchottenstein and Schmidt each had three and Fiedler and Millett each had one.

In eighth-grade action, Carson Valley beat South Tahoe, lost to Pau-Wa-Lu and beat Eagle Valley.

Shelby VanWinkle had four service points, four assists and two kills against Tahoe, Kelly Sonnemann had nine service points and two kills, Emily Gosselin had three service points and one kill, Maddie Strauss had three service points and two assists, Justine Dale had two service points and three assists, Alex Morin had five service points, Samantha Brown had two service points and three kills and Katie Antti had nine service points.

Against Pau-Wa-Lu, VanWinkle had 12 service points, five aces, seven assists and two kills. Strauss had two service points, one ace and two kills. Brown had four service points, three aces and three kills. Tia Lutz had six service points, one ace, two assists and one kill.

Sonnemann had one service point and two kills, Anna Lekumberry had two kills, Dale had one service points and two assists. Mikaela Wendler had six service points and two kills and Darby Mattinson had two service points, one ace and one kill.

Against Eagle Valley, Van Winkle had five service points, one ace, four assists and a kill. Sonnemann had two service points and one kill. Dale had three service points and an ace, Strauss had one service point, one ace and two kills and Jessa Gansberg had two service points and two kills.

Wendler had seven service points, one ace and a kill and Antti had four service points and a kill.
