Halsey said the academy includes instruction in unformed patrol procedures, jail/custody procedures, investigations, crime scene processing, narcotic and gang investigations, criminal justice system, prosecution and court procedure, dispatch operations, identity theft and fraud prevention, volunteer programs, fire prevention, youth services and emergency medical information.
He said instructors are from county, state and local agencies.
