The fall sports teams at Douglas High School will be holding voluntary conditioning sessions throughout the summer.

Athletes need to have completed the school's clearance process in order to participate in the workouts.

BOYS' SOCCER

Offseason workouts are 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting Monday and continuing through July 29.

The school's annual alumni game is Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. and the summer clinic is Aug. 9-12 from 8 to 10 a.m. hosted by Eastern Nazarene College head coach Ramo Badohoun.

Tryouts are Aug. 16-18 from 3 to 5 p.m. All workouts will be at the Douglas High soccer field.


BOYS' TENNIS

Offseason conditioning and skill development will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. through the rest of the summer at the Douglas High School tennis courts.

Official practice begins Aug. 16 at the high school.

CROSS COUNTRY

Summer workouts will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings throughout the summer. E-mail jfrey@dcsd.k12.nv.us for more information.


FOOTBALL

Varsity workouts will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Big George Sports Complex.

Junior varsity will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

The first day of official practice for all levels is Aug. 12.


GIRLS' GOLF

No offseason workouts are planned. First day of practice is Aug. 16 at the Genoa Lakes Golf Course at 3:15 p.m. For more information, contact Steve Gustafson at sgustafs@dcsd.k12.nv.us.


GIRLS' SOCCER

Offseason workouts and team building activities will be held throughout the summer.

A technical soccer camp is scheduled for July 19-23 and will be conducted by former Douglas High standout Jenny Jaggard at Douglas High. Space is available in the camp.

July 27 and 29 will be open conditioning sessions at the high school.

A hike up Jobs Peak is scheduled for July 30.

Additional conditioning sessions are scheduled for Aug. 3 from 7 to 9 a.m. at Lampe Park and Aug. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Douglas High.

A run in Faye Lutheran Canyon is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 7 a.m. A summer clinic fundraiser camp hosted by Eastern Nazarene College head coach Ramo Badohoun will be Aug. 9-12 from 8 to 10 a.m.

Official tryouts will start Aug. 16.

GIRLS' TENNIS

Offseason workouts will begin July 26 and continue every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Douglas High School courts.

Mandatory tryouts will be Aug. 16-17 from 8 to 10 a.m.

VOLLEYBALL

Offseason conditioning will be June 30 and July 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Douglas High gym.

Starting July 5, workouts will be at Zephyr Cover Beach every Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Two-a-day workouts run Aug. 9-13 with an 8-9:30 a.m. session at the Big George Sports Complex track and a 5-7 p.m. session in the Douglas High gym.

Tryouts begin Aug. 16 with Varsity and JV going from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Freshmen will go from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
