The R-C Morning Report

It appears the roadwork on Kingsbury Grade is supposed to be done 3:30 p.m. today. I don't know if that means for the weekend or for good. Expect 20 minute delays as traffic is routed into the opposing lanes as they move through the three miles up from Highway 50.

The chance of thunderstorms increases to 30 percent today as a hazardous weather outlook continues for Carson Valley. Expect isolated thunderstorms to expand today bringing the possibility of heavy rain, small hail and strong winds. It's been warm at night, with Minden posting a low of 48 degrees this morning. It's going to continue to be warm at night.

There was a rear-end traffic accident at Kimmerling and Rubio Thursday evening. It was enough to set off the airbags, but not enough to injure anyone enough to ride in an ambulance.

I'm going on vacation next week to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary. The morning report will get a little sporadic, but I'll try to keep up with it. Have a great week.
