Spread a blanket in Heritage Park and enjoy food, beverages and games at Main Street Gardnerville's first Blankets, Burgers & Brews fundraising event, 4-9 p.m. Saturday.
Live music is provided by 7 Days Gone, formerly Clear Blue 22. Reno-based county rock band 7 Days Gone plays regularly at Mustangs Dancehall & Saloon in the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, and at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar in Las Vegas and Mesa, Ariz.
The band is Paul Reyes, guitar and vocals; Don Simpson, bass and vocals; Kelsey Bird, vocals; Johnny Myers, lead guitar; and Jim McCall on drums.
"We say that we're a little country-rock and what not. We're on the rock side of country," said Reyes. "We play Martina, Shania, Sheryl Crow, KD Tisdale, Meryl Haggard, Buck Owens and Johnny Cash. It's a mix of contemporary covers and fun old stuff in an upbeat show."
