Twenty-year Carson Valley residents Patty Kittyle Nelson and James Matthies were married June 26, 2010.
Nelson is the daughter of Maggie and the late George Kittyle of Dixon, Calif., and is a 1982 graduate of Dixon High School. She works as a drive examiner for the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles in Carson City.
Matthies is the son of Nancy and the late Robert Matthies of Fremont, Calif. He graduated in 1987 with a bachelor of science degree from California State University, Fresno, and works as a chemist for Aervoe Industries of Gardnerville.
The wedding and reception for about 150 friends and family was held at Willows and Dreams in Gardnerville. The bride was attended by her daughter and maid of honor Kristina Nelson, and daughter-in-law Lori Nelson, and friends Julie Merrill and Nikki Bragg as bridesmaids.
The groom was attended by his son Martin Matthies as best man, and sons-in-law David Nelson and Wade Nelson, and friend John Kollar as groomsmen.
Following a honeymoon in Cancun, the couple will reside in Gardnerville.
