Cars needed for Main Street Show & Shine car show

The Main Street Show & Shine car show is set for Aug. 20-21. Sign-ups are 3-5 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Holiday Inn Express in Minden, then the party moves to downtown Minden for dinner, music and the show and shine in Minden Park. Cost of the two-day event including dinner and breakfast is $60 per person, or $45 for the two-day event and one breakfast.

Classic cars in Minden Park

More than 700 classic cars are expected at the Hot August Nights Poker Stop starting 10 a.m. Thursday at Minden Park. Cards and lunch vendors hosted by the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Minden. Parking and poker hands provided by Valley Cruisers Car Club.
