Volunteers sought for Topaz sheriff's substation

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is seeking volunteers to work at the south county substation in the Holbrook Junction/Topaz area.

Volunteers work a four-hour shift one day a week at the substation, 1550 Highway 395 south, Holbrook Junction.

The position is nonpaid, and volunteers may choose the day they work.

Duties include answering inquiries by telephone or in person, issuing dog licenses, bicycle registrations, tree cutting and special use permits, and assisting people in need of services provided by the sheriff's office.
