Two Gardnerville Ranchos men are offering $100 and an electronic game to whoever provides the names of two juveniles they say vandalized several vehicles in their neighborhood early Friday.
William T. Roney III said the suspects vandalized vehicles on Lyell Way, Bluerock Road, Purple Sage Drive and Lassen Road.
He described the boys as middle school age, with shoulder-length hair. One wore a red shirt, the other a black shirt and both wore black pants,
"My other neighbor who had just returned home from work heard a commotion outside his house," Roney said. "He called 911 and reported that two young males were coming down Bluerock Rock kicking a white fence down the street."
The caller remained on the phone with the sheriff's office and watched as the two kicked in the back hatch of a white minivan.
Roney said they kicked out the headlight and taillight on two vehicles parked in his driveway.
"They crossed the street in front of the neighbor who was watching them as they proceeded east on Bluerock Road towards Long Valley Road and then proceeded down Lassen Way.
"Other acts of vandalism to vehicles in the area included more headlights, taillights, and car windows," Roney said.
He is offering a free Xbox or PlayStation 3 game in addition to his neighbor's $100 for information.
Roney said Deputy Dean Kumagai was the contact officer and the case number is 10SO16379. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 782-9935.
