A 28-year-old Indian Hills woman, accused with her husband of credit card fraud for using her new mother-in-law's card to purchase clothes for their wedding, was jailed Tuesday when she tested for methamphetamine.

District Judge Dave Gamble suspended proceedings gainst Mindy C. Spitsen after she tested positive and ordered her taken into custody.

She had been out on $10,500 bail.

He continued Spitsen's arraignment to June 22.

Moments before, Gamble permitted her husband Ryan Waelbrock to participate in Western Regional Drug Court.

Waelbrock, 23, said he and Spitsen used methamphetamine together. He pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of a credit card, the same charge against Spitsen.

Between Dec. 20, 2009 and May 24, he said the couple used his mother's card to make online purchases totaling $750 from JC Penneys.

"You guys thought you would put your wedding together by stealing clothes?" Gamble asked.

"The whole concept of two tweakers getting married is about as attractive to me as a coyote eating a rabbit," Gamble said. "It's just gross."

He ordered Waelbrock to remain in custody until drug court convenes Monday.

"You have not even come close to recognizing the badness of this addiction," Gamble said. "If you want to be alive, you need to be done with methamphetamine. This has to be your only occupation now - learning how to live without meth."
