A Minden woman who posed as a doctor or nurse to phone in prescriptions for thousands of pills faces sentencing this morning in Douglas County District Court. Roberta Bronwyn Jones, 48, pleaded guilty to obtaining a controlled substance by fraud on May 2. It will be up to Judge Dave Gamble to determine whether the crime is a felony or gross misdemeanor this morning. If he decides it's a felony, she faces up to four years in prison.

Another low pressure system is rolling through the area today, bringing windy weather and cooler temperatures. Today will be sunny with a high near 81, with winds 5-15 mph gusting to 30 mph. Expect a 15-degree temperature drop down to a high of 66 on Wednesday, with a chance of showers in the morning.
