Pierce and Laughlin to be married in August

Michelle K. Pierce and Jonathan D. Laughlin of Reno are engaged to be married Aug. 29, 2010, in Genoa.

Pierce is the daughter of Gary and Janet Pierce of Gardnerville. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a degree in criminal justice in 2007, and is a rehabilitation skills counselor at the Maple Star foster care program in Reno.

Laughlin is the son of Garry and Shirley Laughlin of Selah, Wash. He attended Spokane Community College and is pursing a degree in computer science. He is employed by Atlantis Casino in Reno.
