More local food, farm and dirt-oriented products and services are needed at the Lampe Park Farmers Market, operating 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays. Some examples could be green or health-oriented products, birdhouses, stepping stones, garden art, flowers, or herbs.
The Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department offers one free spot weekly for a local nonprofit organization to promote their group or special event during the farmers market. Information, Parks & Recreation, 782-9828 or the market manager, Jana, 690-5908.
