Muller Lane will be closed today while Nevada Department of Transportation workers pave the part of the road they dug up last week. A culvert failed Thursday morning. According to the Safe Travel Web site work on the project will begin at 7 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m., if things go according to schedule. Work will also continue on Kingsbury Grade between Highway 50 and three miles up the mountain. Expect some delays from road construction there.

The Nevada Arts Council's circuit rider will be putting on a Cultural Tourism Program at Genoa Lakes 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Cost is $40 at the door.

We're about to see a pretty big change in the weather this weekend. We may not have seen 90s yet this year, but the National Weather Service is calling for the high to 96 on Sunday, up from 87 on Saturday. The heat isn't expected to stick around very long this time. Today expect partly sunny skies with a high of 87. Dust storms is the topic for today's Hazardous Weather Week.
