This is to inform you of the activities that are happening at Golden Nugget Automotive and to update you on Mike Schiller's recent accident. Please understand that some of this information may be repetitious as the local newspaper has reported the story well.

On May 14, Mike was seriously injured in a traffic accident. He was ejected from the vehicle in the Minden area. He has many injuries to his face, head and left side of his body. He has survived the accident as well as several surgeries. He is expected to have a complete recovery. This recovery is expected to take several months, maybe longer. We expect that he will be having more surgery and rehabilitation.

Our prayer is that Mike will have a full and normal recovery soon.

We want to thank all of the people that have been in contact with us in so many ways. The prayers, calls, visits, letters, personal comments, cookies, Caring Bridge and donations have been deeply appreciated. We want you all to know how deeply you have touched our hearts and our lives. Your love and compassion has been wonderful.

As many of you know, Jason, Mike's oldest son is a Marine. He has been home with us on emergency leave since May 15. He is expected to return to the Marine Corps sometime in the near future.

J.J., Mike's youngest son, has become associated with the business. Mike's brother Ron has been here helping with the needs of the family and the business. He will continue to be here until things are somewhat back to normal.

The other part of this letter is to inform you of some of the happenings at Golden Nugget Automotive. The staff is in place and working. At this point, thanks to you, our friends and customers, we have maintained a great level of business. We want you to know that we are committed to your automotive needs. Our employees and Mike's family intend to keep Golden Nugget running with business as usual until he can return. We all miss Mike but we will conduct business at a normal level and you can expect the great service that Mike has always offered you. We cannot fill his shoes, but we will do our best for you!

Mike would expect nothing less than the best for his customers, as you have bee a big part of his life. You have become his friends and family replacing us from his home state of Iowa.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.

J.J., Jason and Ron Schiller are the sons and brother of Golden Nugget Automotive owner Mike Schiller who was injured in a May 14 traffic accident.
