The program at the Nevada theatre for the coming week is one of unusual merit. Tonight and Saturday a traveling company will show a sound picture in which George Jessel, the original jazz singer will be heard and seen in "Lucky Boy." They carry their own sound equipment for producing talking pictures. The ace of western screen stars, Tom Mix, appears to have made the hit of his spectacular film career in "King Cowboy." The setting is decidedly novel for him, it being the picturesque country in Northern Africa. There were sheiks and Arabs, camels and masked beauties abound, Tom is seen at the head of a group of cowboys who visit the land of the Riff tribesman ostensibly as a Wild West show, but really in quest of the owner of their Nevada ranch, held captive by the natives.

Six representatives of Norway, the native country of fabled John A. (Snowshoe) Thompson, and who are all members of the Norwegian Olympic group, are pictured with Gov. Grant Sawyer of Nevada during the presentation of a plaque at the grave of Thompson at the Genoa cemetery last Friday. The plaque, which leans against the bottom of Thompson's headstone, reads "As a tribute to a great compatriot from Telemark, this plaque was presented by the Norwegian ski team competing at Squaw Valley in February, 1960."

Though wild horse lovers in Fish Springs hope it would never happen again, 42 mustangs were rounded up by Bureau of Land Management wranglers in response to five complaints. By law, the BLM must respond to any complaint regarding wild horses or burros, as directed by the 1971 Wild Horse and Burro Act. The agency started getting complaints three months ago, coinciding with the horses' natural tendency to move to lower elevations during the winter months.
