A master plan amendment that would change 37.75 acres of receiving area to commercial and 20.15 acres of agricultural land to commercial is scheduled to appear before the Gardnerville Town Board on Tuesday. The proposal is a fraction of one proposed for the site located near the intersection of Highway 395 and Pinenut Road last summer. Peri Enterprises is also asking that the transportation and trails plans be altered to show a new location for Pinenut Road to intersect the proposed Muller Parkway. Town board members meet at 4:30 p.m. in the town offices, 1407 Highway 395.

Genoa Town Board members will meet tonight to discuss the ongoing Carson St. Drainage project. Genoans meet at 7 p.m. in the town meeting room.

The first part of a two-part storm is supposed to roll in today bringing rain and gusty winds to the Valley. The chance for rain will be greatest between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Then the winds will pick up, with gusts of up to 40 mph through midnight. The snow level will stay above 5,800 feet today, but is supposed to drop for Wednesday's colder storm.
