Nevada Rock Art Foundation hosts a free presentation about Nevada petroglyphs and pictographs and the foundation's work to protect them, 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, in the ArtBar at the Carson Valley Arts Council, 1572 Highway 395, Minden. Wine and snacks available at 5:30 p.m.
Featured are Minden resident and archaeologist Dr. Angus Quinlan, who is executive director of the Nevada Rock Art Foundation; Dr. Pat Barker, president of Nevada Rock Art Foundation and former archaeologist for the Bureau of Land Management; and anthropologist Dr. Darla Garey-Sage.
