The first CDH Walk of Hope is 8:30 a.m. to noon March 27 at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
Proceeds of the one-mile walk benefit the Breath of Hope organization that creates awareness and provides support for families affected by congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Walker resident Shannon Minder's infant nephew Michael Joseph Skaggs died as the result of the condition that affects unborn babies.
