Larry John Hansen

Gardnerville resident Larry John Hansen, 72, died March 9, 2010, in Carson City.

Mr. Hansen was born Jan. 16, 1938, to Raymond Hansen and Juanita Moon in Logan, Utah. He worked as an electrician and worked his way up to program manager at Lockhead Aerospace in Burbank and Palmdale, Calif., where he retired after 30 years with the company. Mr. Hansen enjoyed gambling at Carson Valley Inn.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Hansen of Gardnerville; son Steven Hansen of Canyon Country, Calif.; daughter Julie (Greg) Basse of Canyon Country, Calif.; stepdaughters Susan (Joseph) of Simi Valley, Calif., Karen (Tom) Doyle of Burbank, Calif., and Angela (Phillip) Mitchell of Escalon, Calif.; sister Bonnie Ballenger of Burbank; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. No services will be held. Walton's Funerals and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
