The Antelope Valley Lions Club will be sponsoring the 10th annual Jackie Giorgi Pasture Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 3, at the Baldo Giorgi (pasture) Country Club on Topaz Lane.

This really fun event will start at 9 a.m. and only costs $25 for golf, a hefty barbecue lunch and beverages served on the course. If someone would like to come, watch some golf, and have lunch, the cost is $12.

All money collected will go toward the Lions Club's scholarship fund for Coleville High School graduates.

Inaugural Walk of Hope

The Walk of Hope fundraising event to combat CDH is 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 27, in Lampe Park. CDH is congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which occurs when the diaphragm does not close, and it is a potentially fatal condition that needs more attention.

Call Shannon Minder at (530) 208-6421 for more information on the Walk of Hope or how you can donate to this very worthy cause.
