Through three innings, the Douglas baseball team kept things close against the top-ranked Reno Huskies Tuesday afternoon.
But the Huskies broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth by bringing four runs across on their way to a 6-1 non-conference win.
Shane Fencl had a double for the Tigers and Kyle Ford had an RBI while Ford, Kameron Van Winkle, Ryan Ford and Cody Lommori each collected a hit.
Ryan Ford struck out two in three innings of relief while walking none.
The Tigers dropped to 4-4 overall on the year and will take their 2-1 Sierra League record into a home series against South Tahoe starting Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
