Former Dayton Regional Advisory Council member and 10-year Carson Valley resident Lillian J. Louritt, 83, died April 27, 2010, at her home in Gardnerville of complications from Parkinsons and Alzheimers.
Born April 4, 1927, in Walnut Creek, Calif., to George and Marie Bittick, she married John J. Louritt on Sept. 22, 1945, while working for the Southern Pacific Railway in San Francisco.
The couple travelled all over the world because Mr. Louritt was a career Navy veteran.
She retired from Raley's in Sacramento in 1989 and lived in Dayton, where she served as an advisory council member in 1995.
Mrs. Louritt moved to Gardnerville in 2000. She was a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; and grandchild Melissa Louritt.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years; sons John (Marty) Louritt and Mike (Katy) Louritt; four grandchildren, Karlye, Jeffrey, Karyn, and Nikolai Louritt.
